Sophie trained on the MA Directing Fiction course at the National Film and Television School. Her short films have been shown at various international film festivals and her latest, ‘In It Together’, about a couple in lockdown, was selected for Flickers’ Rhode Island, won ‘Best Short Drama’ at London Shorts festival and was nominated for ‘Best Editing’ at Underwire festival.
She has a degree in English from Oxford where she also directed plays. After university she worked in production for three years, including a stint in the BFI’s Development office and at Somesuch. She also writes and directs branded content.
She is represented by Catherine Goldstone at Casarotto Ramsay & Associates and mentored by director Jessica Hobbs (The Crown).
She is currently writing and developing her first feature which was longlisted for ‘Breakout’, the Netflix/Creative UK first feature scheme, in early development.
